    Well it sounds good but if it is actually transparent to the User then how is this going to help nvidia?

  • Naveen

    Would it be somehow used in upcoming MacBook Pros?

  • Kakkoii

    @Dexter:
    It would help Nvidia because it would expand their market share in mobile platforms. Since Intel is being a little bitch and trying to keep Nvidia from taking the industry over, Nvidia had to resort to this to enable good graphics with newer Intel CPU’s.

  • Lawlz

    To Kakkoii,
    This is not Intels fault. Intels cpu and chipset are pretty low voltage, enough to sustain decent battery life in a mobile platform if it’s not overclocked. Things like GPUs are what take the power. Intel has nothing to do with this situation. And you blaming Intel on something like this, proves how biased your post is.

  • Dexter

    @Kakkoii Thanks for reply.
    @Lawlz : Thats true man but “If you need A GPU you will have to buy a GPU a low powered CPU would not actually work”

  • Extreme

    very god

  • Kakkoii

    @Lawlz: Power consumption is not what I was talking about. I’m talking about Intel refusing Nvidia to work with their newest chipsets. Preventing Nvidia from making ION platforms with Intel’s newer and future more efficient processors.

    Just stopping in to let you know about Online Revolution see http://www.usofearth.com/2011-obamas-coup-fails.php: I discovered a network of people involved in the push to protect our Constitutional rights and to swear allegiance to our country and its citizens. Is it real or a game?

  • Xyz

    I think anyone who would have been in Intel’s shoes would have done the same thing. Including nVidia itself.

  • Lawlz

    Kakkoii,
    It was Nvidia who backed out on making chipsets now though. Nobody forced them to. And Intel has every right to tell them no. I won’t lie, this whole kiddy fighting that Intel and Nvidia have had for years is annoying, but Intel doesn’t owe Nvidia anything, and Nvidia doesn’t owe Intel anything. This is not Intels fault, like I said.

  • Harsh

    Intel is always involved in doing shit things to attain monopoly, in the end customers are fooled and affected by such bad means what Intel has done so far.

    Hopefully this is a software solution that is backwards compatible to 9400m/730i systems. Maybe this will fix the grievous powermizer issues on the Hybrid SLI Alienware M17x.
