SUPERSONIC SLED DEMO – CAN YOU BEAT THE WORLD RECORD?

I have been watching a lot of action in the forums and am seeing fans starting to post results on their best runs using our new demo for GTX 480 – Supersonic Sled. You can download it here.

The demo uses tessellation, PhysX and is, overall, just a cool game. After you download and play the demo, you have a chance to show up on the leaderboard where we’re posting the top run scores automatically. Check out the best times here.

While I haven’t posted it on the current scores site, as of today I am the world record time holder for best sled time – somewhere around 15 seconds! Since you could say I have a bit of an inside advantage I put together a video to show everyone the true secrets of Supersonic Sled.

    I’ve been watching this demo/game since you brought it to PDXLAN. It’s really become even more cool. I can’t wait to get the chance to try beating your score. Thanks again, Tom.

    I love the game and everything, but could you please change it so GTX470 users can also be added to the scoreboard? I’ve a couple of times that could have made the top 100.

    I beat him at pax east with 17 seconds. But 15 seconds dominated. I actually taught him a new strategy to do better. HAHAH

    Supersonic Sled will allow the automatic posting of scores for any card that can run the demo. Right now that includes GTX 480 and GTX 470. Please note that posting is only enabled in the web download of the demo http://www.nvidia.com/object/cool_stuff.html#/demos/2117.
    Download the latest demo and give it another shot. If you still have issues getting scores to post with GTX 470, please leave us another comment here.

    Ok so I have the GTX 480 SC from eVGA and running this SSS, it blows up even if I don’t use any boosters without even touching the sled….. what is going on here? I can’t even make it down the track?! I had a previous version installed on my PC before I reinstalled windows and had no problems like this before…. and yes I know how to play the demo… but now it seems like I can’t even make it down the track without blowing up. Its annoying.

    We know who you are Tom. HAX j/k man. I’ve been doing this for two weeks. I’m going to make a vid and post it in the forums.
    I love my 480′s. If I could I would give everyone at nv a high five. This is the best yet. My last vantage orb 37,000 + on air, I almost cried lol.
