HardOCP: “GTX 460 is a fantastic product. It is priced right; it performs admirably; it is dead quiet; it sips power; it runs cool, and it overclocks like a monster[...] we have simply never seen such an incredible value in a $200 video card before.”

Congratulations Nvidia. Great card, great performance and great price.
Please get a 384SP GPU card out soon and get the same 384SP GF104 GPU into notebooks, replacing the GTX 480M and release a Quadro version of the 384SP GF104 also.

Nice card, but I’m still waiting for a full GF104 aka Geforce 468/475 ;)
Btw, is the 465 EOL now, since the 460 is often faster?

Will it work with the LG L246WP-BN monitor without any Windows 7 registry patching?
I am using a BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC2 card.

It would be nice if both companies would stop with confusing names.
But I know it is intended by marketing department as being good for business.
You just updated http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_Requirements.html with many new projector and such but forgot to add the 460!

we simply need the performance of gtx470 and the price of gtx460. yes,, i will wait for the next nvidia card, gtx475. but still impressed with this gtx460.. well job done.

    Thanks Wert
We will continue to offer GTX 465. While GTX 460 does offer similar performance in some situations, the 465 has 60% more tesslation units which is important for next generation DirectX 11 titles. You can see the difference in apps like Metro 2003 and Unigine Heaven.

So when are GTS250 and GT240 replacements coming? This card is pretty amazing but there are still a lot of us with weak power supplies and PCI-Express x16 1.0 motherboards sticking around for an ATI 5670 alternative from you guys.

Glad someone’s checking our work :) 3D Vision page is now updated
