Just one week after the release of version 260.89 drivers, we are happy to announce the availability of version 260.99 WHQL-certified drivers. This refresh provides PC gamers with improved performance for some top titles such as Final Fantasy XIV and F1 2010. It also adds SLI profiles for Civilization V, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, and Fallout: New Vegas and adds 3D Vision game profiles for Call of Duty: Black Ops and Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2.

The new version 260.99 WHQL-certified drivers can be downloaded here and are available for both desktop and notebook GPUs.

You can also visit http://blogs.nvidia.com/nTersect/drivers to learn more about our past driver releases.

Enjoy version 260.99 and let us know what you think!

I still can’t get any signal with the 260.99 on my projector…
So when I want to play 3d games on my BenQ XL2410T I have to have the 260.xx installed and when I want to see a movie on my projector I have to uninstall the 260.xx drivers and install the 258.xx again and vise versa..

I just installed this driver on my Win7/64 notebook with Geforge 285M GTX, and it’s prevented my second monitor from working.
I get strange behaviour when trying to enable via Windows display config, and when trying to go via Nvidia Control Panel I can start setting it up, then NCP locks up before a stupid bubble says “This GPU supports 1 display”.
It was all working fine before this driver update – why does there appear to be a stupid restriction in place!?

Since the 260 release I have a problem in Street Fighter IV: The water surfaces in the jungle and ship levels are flickering. This driver still has the problem, but the frequency is much lower.

Where can I go to download the previous 258.xx drivers?
The page at http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx only lists the 260.xx drivers.
All the ‘archived driver’ links I’m following just go to that same page.

Ok, so selecting the wrong product (e.g. 400M series instead of 200M series) shows the previous 256/258.96 drivers, but once on the page for those driver it does list 200M series as supported, so when I’ve finally downloaded those ones I’ll give it a try and hopefully the 258.96 wont have buggy multi-monitor support.

I picked up the GTS450 and took it back because of freezing problems with the 260.89 and the 260.99. I thought I’d try again (you’re welcome EVGA and Nvidia) and returned the 450 and paid more for the GTX460.
I installed the 260.99 drivers with my 8600GTS. Dropped in the GTX460 and Windows freezes on the black screen right after the Windows XP splash. I don’t even get to my desktop before it freezes like I did with the 450.
The Nvidia forums are packed with people complaining about the freezing in the 400′s. I’ve been using Nvidia cards for 10 years, never had a problem. I’m using my 8600GTS until driver issues are resolved. If I knew, I would saved my money. Nvidia, your customers deserve better.

Since the 260 drivers, enabling a second monitor on my 8800 GT always sets it to the “native” resolution instead of the last one used before disabling it.
It was working fine before with the 258.96 WHQL driver.
I find that very annoying, since my HD-ready monitor needs a custom resolution of 720p(but only 1216×676 due to a scanning issue) but it always sets to 1080i(1920×1080) when enabling it, forcing me to get into the resolution menu and set the custom resolution every time.

    Hi…

Using a GTX480 SC and GTX240 GT, I tried to run UDK November Beta with the 260.99 WQHL Driver but the 3D Enviroment get Blank Blinking Screen, I also tried one previrous driver 260.89 WHQL and the same happen. The strange is that behaviour don1t happens with the driver 258.96 (256 WQHL).

I hope this help to try investigate it. This problem is happening with severals guy on UDK comunity
