TAKING AUSTIN BY THE HORNS AT SXSW

NVIDIA is at South by Southwest (aka SXSW) to spread the word about the latest in media and entertainment.

SXSW, held annually in Austin, Texas, has become one of the largest and most important film, interactive and music festivals in the U.S. NVIDIA will be there, showcasing our strong partnerships with Dell and HP in two separate events.

Monday, March 12^th, 3:30p (Central Time)

Dell, a 2012 SXSW Film Conference headline sponsor, and NVIDIA are co-hosting a panel session in Room 2 of the Austin Convention Center. The panel will discuss the transition from Apple Final Cut Pro on the Mac to Adobe Creative Suite Premier Pro on Dell Precision workstations, accelerated with NVIDIA Quadro pro graphics.

Dell has enlisted noted journalist Marc Loftus, senior editor for Post magazine, to moderate the panel and talk about the benefits and potential hazards of moving from one platform to another. Recent changes to Final Cut’s feature set have become one of the most hotly debated topics in the media and entertainment industry, and Dell is bringing together a wide range of editors to talk in detail about their experiences.

Friday, March 9^th through Tuesday, March 13^th

Also at SXSW, HP will be proudly showing off their just-announced lineup of Z Workstations, including the new 27″ all-in-one HP Z1. HP and NVIDIA will be hosting an official SXSW Lounge at The Loft at 6^th (215 E. 6^th Street) from starting at 3pm daily.

Visitors will rub shoulders with the likes of recent Oscar winner Rob Legato, Pixomondo’s VFX Supervisor on Hugo as well as Bandito Brothers (Act of Valor) CTO Jacob Rosenberg. Ted Schilowitz (RED cameras) and Xlantic’s Chris Brickler (Love in a Circus) will also be at the event to talk shop. And, the Lounge will feature HP Z Workstation hands-on demo stations.
