AWESOME. Will it be on sprint?

  • Captain_Doug

why are you? honestly, I’m curious. I don’t know anyone on sprint.

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

Glad you’re stoked for the phone!

I can’t speak to carrier availability out side of what’s already been made public (http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/02/att-htc-one/).

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

FWIW, I do appreciate Sprint’s pricing structure.

  • andre bilodeau

is this single or dual core?

all it says is 1.7 ghz

  • http://www.facebook.com/brezanac Miša Brežanac

    Its quad core :)

  • Captain_Doug

    That’s a good reason.

Did you even read the article?  ”It boasts a supercharged version of the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, which features the high-performance, 4-PLUS-1 quad-core architecture and unique 5th battery-saver core.”

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

Just to clarify, the Tegra 3 is a unique quad-core mobile processor in that it actually boasts 5 cores.

There are 4 performance cores that make quick, efficient work of demanding tasks. But, for less demanding tasks (like listening to music, reading a Web Page, watching video, etc.), the 4 performance cores turn off and the 5th battery saver core takes over. This gives you longer battery life.

You can read more about this unique architecture here:

2 questions, does this phone allow for expandible media (SD Cards) and can the battery be removed?

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

There is no removable external storage (sd card slot). The battery is not removable.

But, with 64GB of onboard storage and 50% longer battery life (thanks to the Tegra 3′s 5th battery saver core and the larger battery in the HTC One X+), you should be just fine as far as storage and device uptime are concerned :)

This is great news…but before I upgrade from my Global One X, I want to know, is the One X+ using DDR3 1600 memory like the Transformer Infinity?

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

I’m looking forward to upgrading to the HTC One X+ myself!

As for the specs you’re looking for, you’ll have to ask HTC for details.

Is 28 nm the processor technology ?

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

Hi Germano. Thanks for your question. Tegra 3 is built on 40nm process :)

My holding off for years is about to pay off. I can finally purchase a quadcore tegra that was created to work in the USA. The phone will have what I have wanted in a smartphone since they were invented. This is only the beginning of what is in store for Nvidia with tegra yeah!!!!

Thanks for the comment! Can you ping me at bcaulfield[at]nvidia.com, Sagar? I’ve got a quick question for you ;-)

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

Thanks for your enthusiasm and support, Carl!

This really is just the beginning. We’re working hard to continue breaking molds :)

  • KK

I don’t think I’ve ever been excited for a phone before. I am excited for this.

Trust me, Team Tegra is right there with you!

  • Bob O’Byrne

Will Park: I just picked up the HTC One X+ (att) and albeit I’m coming from a blkbry curve world… my mind is BLOWN! I love the silky smooth graphics and super fast response on this droid phone. Battery life is amazing given how sweet the action/display renders. Oh yeah I’m a fan. I listen to Jen on the qtrly calls/youtube recorded events and nvidia sounds like they have a true visionary. I’m with you for the long haul- good fortune!!

  • KK

Anyone else know why they removed the scrolling wallpapers but kept the “+” shaped grid when setting wallpapers? Doesn’t make any sense.

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

Good to hear you’re happy with your Tegra-powered HTC One X+ !

We do have a visionary leader at NVIDIA, which is what helps make products like this possible. Just wait and see what we do next :)

  • http://blogs.nvidia.com/ Will Park

Not sure what you’re seeing, but my wallpapers do scroll. Are you using a wallpaper that’s wide enough?

  • KK

Really, on the HTC One X+?! Dude, if that’s the case let me know how to get the scrolling wallpapers on my One X+. I loved them on the One X.
I actually wound up calling HTC support later that day. They informed me that I was the first to bring this to their attention, and said that they would send it to the developers and flag it for an update.
