NVIDIA IS READY FOR WINDOWS 8

Windows 8 pro shuts down every time Nvidia post a new driver update. With no warning windows 8 tells me my computer has a problem and needs to shut down with an IRQL error. After I update then no more problems until they post a new driver update. This has happened 3 times and never fails. I just realized as I am writing this that I need to stop windows 8 from checking for updates until this problem is fixed or go back to windows 7. GTX 470, core i7 920. 24 gigs ram, msi eclipse.

I fixed it, starting windows in safe mode, installing again the drivers of nvidia and it fisrt unistall and install again the drivers, Works for me.

After Installing windows 8 in my laptop my Nvidia Geforce GT 525M is not showing in adapter type..but i already installed it’s latest driver from nvidia downloads..Please suggest me guys… how can i slove this problem.

Had similar problems using NVIDIA GeForce 7600, display goes blank and flashes with Windows 8 and 306.97 driver.  Had to remove the card, uninstall the driver, shutdown, re-insert card, and start back up.  It works with the default Windows 8 driver, but Windows 8 kept reinstalling 306.97 driver automatically so I had to remove card, and go through the whole process several times.  Now I tried disabling automatic driver updates.  Did this by right clicking on “Computer”, select Properties->Advanced System Settings->Hardware->Device Installation Settings and selected “No, let me choose what to do” and uncheck “Automatically get the device app … by your device manufacturer”.  Hopefully this will stop Windows for automatically loading the NVIDIA drivers and allow me to use my video card.  Frustrating….

Yeah, nothing but black screen every time i boot into win 8.
I am not going to boot into safe mode every time… any fixes yet???

I have a Dell XPS 15Z with windows 7 and a Nvidia GeForce GT 525M graphics card and ive been experiencing the black screen at startup straight after logging in which takes around 3-5 mins to clear to my desktop. This has been happening for some months and i havent really been able to find a solution. I tried looking at Event Viewer (i think its called) to see what was failing at startup and it seemed that something to do with the graphics card is the problem. I also read that i could use System Restore to go back to a point where this problem wasnt occuring but i think i was too late. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this? Any help would be great! Thanks in advance!
