When are we going to realize that, for some people, participation in 1st person violence in a virtual world increases the possibility of dangerous behaviour in the real world? Offtopic, but leaks point to Tegra 4′s GPU being 6x faster than Tegra 3. Great right? 

Well, the A6X GPU in iPad 4 is already 5.8x faster than Tegra 3 (52 vs 9 FPS):

So if Apple plans to release another iPad in the same time with Tegra 4 release, with a new PowerVR 6 GPU that is again twice as fast as the previous one (or even 50% faster), then you guys are screwed. And Tegra 4 needs to have at least 100 cores or more at launch, even if that means making the chip’s price higher. 

You guys can’t lose yet another fight and be embarrassed by Apple/Imagination in the mobile GPU competition. I’m actually rooting for you, which is why I’m coming here to warn you about this. If you can’t beat Apple’s NEW GPU next spring, you’re going to take a negative PR hit on Tegra 4. You can bet on it.

Unless I’m missing something? And Tegra’s GPU makes games look a lot better than other mobile GPU’s, even though it scores less in benchmarks? But in that case, you guys are doing a terrible job at marketing that advantage, and letting all tech news sites  write about how much better other GPU’s are than yours because they test better in benchmarks, without you even commenting on that.

At this point even I tend to believe the benchmarks more than I believe that, especially because you aren’t saying anything about it, which is very suspicious. So I think you need to improve both your Tegra 4 chip and your PR/marketing for it (as long as it’s true – don’t bother being misleading about it, because it will easily be debunked).

 +1000.  I hope they pull out a stunning product.  Tegra chips seem to have a 1.5 to 2 year lifecycle…so they’ll really need to make a powerful chip to compete with PowerVR and ARM’s Mali.

Hello, I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti is the video card that I’m using. Since upgrading the drivers from 306.9 to the  310.70 version, the system that I’m using crashes intermittently depending on which applications I try to open. In Safe Mode, I don’t get any crashes at all, but who wants to work in Safe Mode all the time?

Anyway, I’m not sure if this is the forum for such a post. I’ve checked several other sites, and waded my way through 2 dumps to find out that the nvlddmkn.sys file was the offender. 

If anyone knows whether or not there is a non-offensive driver available for Windows 8 Pro, the help would be greatly appreciated.

 Since upgrading the drivers from 306.9 to the  310.70 version, I cannot change the brightness using my laptop shortcuts. Can only change it from the NVIDIA control panel. Had to instal the 306.9 version again. Help?

I haven’t experienced any improvement in FPS as stated here.

To answer my own question, I have not found any differences in gameplay when using the WHQL version and the BETA version.
