You know what would be really using your heads? Posting a link to the video so we could see for ourselves and this post wouldn’t seem so dry.

    Yeah, how about a video?!

I hope i live to the day graphic cards from nvidia will reach 1 terrabyte video memory at accordingly 60000bit memory interface since it requires a 64bit interface per 1gb video memory.

But then again, we would then need a huge amount of wattage to accomplish to power such an overpowered future graphic card.

Maby in 10-20 years since it took about 13-14 years to get from 32-64mb to 4-6gb we’ve got today.

Remember the “old man” demo for PS3? Something tells me this is going the same way…

It’d be pretty cool if it would react to the light… Since there’s a constant light change, the eyes squinting slightly or something along those lines… might be awesome to include that in the future.

Maybe when a graphics card like Titan becomes accessible to the public.

    OMG :O this amazing

  • http://www.facebook.com/allenvanwert Allen Van Wert

That is very easy to do and would be on a game or app level. It has nothing to do with realism in mapping and shaders. Get local light level (can be done many ways).. compare to recent light level. If above certain variation threshold… make eyes squint. if not squinting.. make iris dilate based on light levels summed from environment. If this were hard coded into the GPU as you state, then it could get annoying to anyone coding a game and wanting a non squinting character for whatever reason. It certainly would add to realism overall though.

Something is off about the way shadows are falling on the eyes. Seems that the hard edge of the eye skin and the eyeball are off in some way.
