As long as this bad boy is not too expensive, and it can become an established platform in the sea of Android fragmentation, it will unquestionably be a success.

I ask two things from NVIDIA:
    1. Please try to keep the price at or under $299 USD
    2. Please make sure that a steady stream of Tegra 4 optimized games are released & controller profiles for Steam games are updated often.

I don’t want another PS Vita like system…great hardware, but hardly anything to play on it.

    Just announce the price, already.

I really want to see this, but I think a “large screen version” should be released… maybe 7inch? Also, what is the max storage size you can buy? with all these high quality Android games, I am hoping at least 64 GB *fingers crossed*

Don’t be rude, make the Project Shield Stream Play compatible ATI/AMD, not only Nvidia, the Project Shield should be a universal console that can be used with every platform, stop your battle against ATI/AMD, just work with it.

    You use Android OS (universal)
    You use Android Game (Universal)
    You use PC Game (Universal)
You use the same motherboard than ATI/AMD on PC (Universal)

So think large, you will have more interest to your product, lear from your error of PhysX/Cuda, open your mind !

I’m a Nvidia user at the moment but also a Amd user… so thin about it

What is making more interest ?

    -Price
    -Games
    -Compatibility

3 Important point, so think about the Nexus for the Price, think about the DS for the Tegra 4 games and think about a usual PC about the compatibility

It’s not up to Nvidia to make AMD cards compatible. The graphics card requires infrastructure to support streaming, as Nvidia was the creator of Shield they added it to their own cards, AMD didn’t and will likely not do so anytime in the future, since doing so supports Nvidia products rather than competing with them. Also PhysX and Cuda are doing pretty well off in the market.

IS THERE A camera in the project shield? I am thinking of buying this rather than ps vita as the control for me is better. and will there be fifa games in it and can you play multiplayer with ur mates when they are at their home and me at home via wifi or Ethernet?

  • Chris Anton

I’d pay 250 MAX. I think that might even be too high. Maybe 200… Considering you have to spend 200 bucks on only THEIR graphics card because without it you just have another android tablet but this tablet isn’t made for regular tablet things, it’s actually much harder to do normal tablet things like…type…but there’s also no cameras. Plus a lack of L3 R3 buttons….actually maybe 100 bucks. Does it even have gps? …50 bucks?

The L3 and R3 buttons are there. Just push down on the left and right thumbsticks/joysticks.

    It does have GPS.

A question! I have 2 GTX 670s running in SLI, will Shield work with SLI or will I have to disable a card thus loose performance when I play steamed games to the device?

Do like the look of this puppy! :)

    Many thanks

Please try to keep the price at or under $250

  • Chris Anton

I preorded it, i cant wait, but im realllllly hoping you guys are gonna make 350 worth it. can we get some more game vouchers or something for backing it? I mean, i overpaid for the 3ds the day it released  and they gave me 20 free games a couple months later.
