I’m sure some of you gamers have been playing video games for more than 15 years; I have. For some of us, arcades were our babysitters. And yes, we’re still playing games today. I think it’s great. We fueled the industry in its early years and our passion (and competitive nature) continues to fuel it today. Along the way, some of us got married and had children, yet during quiet-time, still go online to play World of Warcraft, battle in Ghost Recon or race a Ferrari in the streets of New York.
We cut our teeth on Asteroids, Pacman, and Donkey Kong and we’re now playing The Orange Box, Crysis, Call of Duty 4, Assassin’s Creed, and Command & Conquer 3. I wonder what video games are going to feel and look like in 5 years from now. Don’t you?

well im 17 and even tho im young i was playin the segas, the first nintendo, i even played the amiga (i remember a dunebuggy game on there, and lemmings ftw!! :D) games today are so advanced and have come a long way in just 15 years, i cant wait to see what they are like when im 30 :P

I'm 23, been playing games since i can remember (anyone remember Digger, used to play it on a top of the line IBM XT Portable - about the size of a large luggage suitcase.. but had a carry handle).. been LANning since the days of 10base5... always had a pc to game on... had the sega megadrive II (also known as the genesis 2), PSX.. played Quakes 1, 2, 3 and 4.. problem these days?? I finish a game like crysis in 3. took me 6 hours to finish Soldier Of Fortune Payback..
Cant wait for a game that keeps me interested for a month, has the graphics i want, and have the system to run it!!! looking forward to the next 5 years...

I'm 42 and grew up on Binatone TV Consoles, Commodore Pet, BBC B, Spectrums, Vic 20, Commodore 64, Amiga and finally PCs which are now my day job too.
Currently playing UT3, Crysis and Call of Duty 4. Just nostalgically bought Lemmings, Worms and Sonic for PC, all for the grand sum of £10 the lot. Lemmings how addicitive!! :-)
Here's to the next 30 years.

I am 24 and I think that no matter how young you are or how old you get, you can still learn something by taking the time to enjoy life and play a game from time to time. It just might be the thing that will teach you something that will be useful in life and who knows, maybe even be the thing that when your 70+ keeps you from dying old. =P

I'm a 24 and getting ready to married my high school sweetheart and he at age 25 still plays games. I googled "Gamers are getting old" to see just how long I had to put up with his addiction with games, and now I know it isn't going to go away. Oh well that what marriage is about right guess I'll just have to learn how to play.
Enjoy!

It's multi-generational: At the age of 13 I played "Spacewar" at MIT on the PDP-1 sometime in the 1960's. My son is a video game developer.
