« How to build an SLI PC | Main | NVIDIA Relaxes Age Restrictions »

My first few weeks at NVIDIA

I joined NVIDIA few weeks ago. Before this I worked for one of the world’s leading developers and publishers of “software entertainment” (a.k.a. video games). My first project was to build my very own SLI enabled gaming rig! The second weekend I was sent to Ontario (CA) to attend Newegg Lanfest 2K7. Every day, my lunch is pretty much free (it’s good and healthy too) and I get to bring my dog to work. Yes, it’s a great job. However, we do have one of those hellish always-jamming-kinda-offline-perhaps-out-of-paper-but-maybe-working-again printers. Thankfully, there are 10 other printers I can use as back up. Days have gone by really fast and I’m keeping busy with numerous projects (including the upcoming GeForce LAN 4 event), taking it all in, learning a lot; especially learning the NVIDIA way, “The Way It’s Meant To Be Played”.

while I get to play with big hardware at work, I sometimes wish I was building a new SLI system or some high end gaming rig or modding a PC with watercooling or something.. glad you're enjoying the new job.. maybe I should apply at Nvidia also.. the datacenter I work in is in Sunnyvale.. it would not be much different of a commute. :)

Lucky so n so..lol
If you need a tester ,
i,m up for it as i,m house bound almost 24/7

Lucky me all i do is play with my rig, well and my dog too.
Good luck.

Hi Sam... Glad you like the job... Sounds very cool... Especially your dog at work... I have my dogs and cats at work with me... I have a small home business... The commute to the office with my cup of coffee and in my underwear every morning is not so bad... I hope I never have to do video conferencing...
I needed a question answered... I hope you can help... I just bought a Nvidia Computer... GE Force... 4400+ ... X2... AM2... Athlon 64 Dual Core... 2 Gig memory...2X1024 DDR... pc5400... 667mhz... 169gb sata-II u-300 Hard Drive.........
Anyway... is this new technology or an older generation computer from the Nvidia line? I can not seem to find it on the nvidia website... please let me know... Much Thanks... Happy Turkey Day... Chris...
