I everybody i have a recomendation for gamers who want the best gaming experience.
To have the best result whit a single 8800gt, you nedd any screen that suport a resolution
of 1080i minimum, that said the best way to go and still have no lag in ms. well conect your pc to a DLP projector via a DVI connection and whit this kind of setting you have a good chai in hdcp redy stuff because the projector is HD-ready and have HDCP.
P.S. If you follow that route you will have the benefit of playing video game on a 16/9 screen 100inch on hte wall in 1080i at 30hrz refresh rate it is amazing for less than 800$ Go for Optoma or viewsonic DLP whit a native of only 1024 (not 800x600 because those one are not HD)
see my new pc in the other section.

Hey Guys i've got one of those striker extreme jobbies, was wondering if it would be at all possible to run 3 x 8800gt in 3 way SLI config ? And where i could get one of those connecting pc boards that connects the 3 gpus to each other...the asus board only ships with a connector for standard SLI ?

I have a pair of 8800 also watercooled, which allows me to use one more PCI slot but that means i now need replace the bracket that screws into the chassis (double to a single) and with the way i have my watercooling set up, (CPU then Volt reg 1&2, then vid cards, to both chipsets) not an easy task. oh and Merry Xmas!

I have sli gtx's and use a SB X-fi card inbetween the 8800's. My cards are liquid cooled tho...so it is possible to use your other pci slots

3-way SLI is cool, but you can't use any of your PCI slots, i have SLI now and can only use 1 of my three PCI slots. i think it's time for a new form factor, with a plan that you can use all the slot in your motherboard. i had to build a second PC because of it. 1 for gaming and 1 for Video editing. thx
