Joe “Vengeance” Rupe, 1965-2008

Today, NVIDIA mourns the loss of our dear friend Joe “Vengeance” Rupe, robotmod extraordinaire and former NVIDIA Focus Group member.

Known throughout the gaming community as "Vengeance," Joe influenced gaming and 3D graphics by providing invaluable feedback to us and the gaming community about NVIDIA products and technology. While he shared his enthusiasm for our products in the sometimes hostile waters of "Rage3D," he did so in a way that endeared him to the community and earned him far more friends than adversaries.

We join the gaming community in extending our condolences to his family and loved ones during this sad time.

Services will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, with Bishop Dan Janke officiating. A caring cremation will follow. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

You will be missed Vengy.

We butted heads at times, but that simply goes to show he had things he cared about and was willing to stand up for his beliefs.

He was a proud father who showed off his daughter's art at Rage3D.

RIP.

My words for him was that he always was friendly and modded Rage3D in a very good way even tho ppl where assholes sometimes.

Despite and perhaps because, we didn't always see eye to eye is what made him a great mod and a great guy.

He will be missed by us all.

As a testament to Joe, his status as a Super Moderator at GeForce3D.net will stay as is for the life of the site. He was a great man and a great friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

if anyone else has any kind words please feel free to add them. We will always remember Joe'snpassion for graphics and the community he loved.

I sure miss him already.

He was a great guy, loved to have fun with anything he did, I will surely miss him.

His legacy at Rage3D extends beyond all affiliations, he was a good man and his devotion to his family showed in his actions.

He was a good man and a good father.
