Download NVIDIA PhysX System Software

Yesterday we released the initial NVIDIA PhysX software for the end users.  This software kit adds support for hardware accelerated PhysX on the following GPUs: GeForce 9800 GTX, GeForce GTX 280, and GeForce GTX 260.

SLI end users have the flexibility to select different configurations for running PhysX and find which one provides the best balance of 3D graphics and PhysX performance.  Users can configure their GPUs to

  • Work together in SLI mode,
  • Have 3D graphics on one GPU and PhysX on the other (note wo GPUs max in this mode)

Please provide your feedback as you try PhysX!

ITS A NICE DRIVER

I just bought a Dell XPS 1730 laptop with 2 8700M video cards (512 Megs ea)., and an Ageia Physx accelerator.
I'm a Noob at this side of computing, so comments to make it all work its best is appreciated!
I downloaded the latest beta physx driver and now there is a green SLi bar runnig vertically over the games Far Cry and Far Cry 2... on one hand, it proves SLi is working, but on the other it's a little distracting.
The green bar is mobile; it shrinks and expands which I guess is a measure of prossessing speed or memory usage.
Is the a "bug" or "feature" (sometimes it's hard to tell :)?
How can I set up to get the max out of the system for gaming.
Use the Agia Physx card alone or asigning it to one of the two 8700M cards?
Thanks,
Tom

need some help am running a msi K9N4 main board SLI ready, with dual 8400 gs cards, after the new driver update for my card, I can no longer set my SLI configuration, PhysX is enabled and when i try to enable SLI config. am told there are apps. needed to be closed and if I want to close them now click yes and still shows SLI disabled any help would be nice Thx.

i have 2 9600gt in sli and a asus physx card pcix1 im having problums getting the physx card to work does any body have that problum

Nice Software..

who want sponser me ximatek red scopion .......

very very thanks

good work

I have a 9800Gx2 and an Old 8600GT. I tried all I could but no luck keeping my Gx2 in SLi while offloading my Physx to the 8600. I read that this would be possible .. When?

So lets see if I understand this right, you need at LEAST a 9800 or above card to do this, would a 8800gt work for the PhysX part??

I am getting another system today w/ a 9800gx2 and have a 8800gt in another system. If I put the 8800gt into the new system would that be ok??
THX

I've got my 8800GTX running PhysX nicely, I'm trying to get my 280GTX to run graphics and my 8800GTX to run PhysX but I think I need to plug a display into each card because of the Vista driver model...

I can't seem to run my dual 6600 video cards in SLi mode with vista ultimate. I checked in nvidia control panel and there no option for SLi either. And yes they are bridged.

+1 on 9800GX2 support.. but then I guess everyone wants their card to work too.

I see that the support includes the GeForce 9800 GTX, so, i'd like to know if is will also work on a 9800 GX2 (just arrived, haven't installed yet) since it is the same chipset, or at least, know if it will ever support those cards.

Greetings.

I have a single 9800GTX video card (picking up another tomorrow for SLI) and it runs UT3 @ max settings @ 1680*1050 perfectly. I have the PhysX map pack installed, and WOAH. Amazing. My other computer has a PhysX card, and this beats the pants off of it.

Adding an option to use an older card, a different model than your main video card, and having that older card running the physx software would be very cool.

I just bought 2 9600 GTs for SLI and I suppose it doesn't support that card yet. Sigh.

is it possible to use 8800 GTX for Graphics and 8600Gt for Physx?

Stay tuned! :)

What about those of us who have 8800 cards, will we get any PhysX drivers for our systems?
