Sometimes life sucks. This can be especially true if you’re an LGBT teenager.

A small group of us at NVIDIA got together to tell our own stories of growing up. Like many youth, we had some very tough times. As we grew into adulthood, we all realized that “it gets better,” as the project, developed by syndicated columnist Dan Savage and his partner Terry, promises. Our friends and families have learned to embrace us. Like at most corporations, bullying isn’t an issue at NVIDIA, where we are treated the same as any other employee. This is why I decided to gather our employees and create this video.

After watching other companies’ It Gets Better videos, I realized that we all have something in common. Our employers are fully supportive of us as individuals who contribute to the whole. Life was very tough in my teen and young adult years. It was a huge contrast to where I am now. As you can see in the video, many of us have had similar emotional experiences through our different life-situations.

We are all very happy at work and in life. Considering all this, I knew we had to contribute to the It Gets Better, because it really does get better.

If you have a story to share, or support to offer teens that are considering suicide as an option, please comment!

Sure, life sucked when we were teens. But now, it’s awesome! Stick it out. It Gets Better!
