CUDA ENGINEER TAKES A BUSMAN’S HOLIDAY IN TURKEY

by Ian Buck

Summer is in full swing here in the Northern Hemisphere, and that means NVIDIA’s Silicon Valley-based software engineers, like the CUDA Software team’s own Elif Albuz, get to take some well-deserved vacation time.

But a CUDA engineer’s holiday may look slightly different from most other folks’ vacations. Elif spends her vacation time spreading the word about her passion, CUDA.

In a collaboration between NVIDIA and NCHPC (National Center for High Performance Computing), Elif just spent four days of her summer vacation in her native Turkey, lecturing about CUDA for eight hours a day at Istanbul Technical University.

Her CUDA seminars generated great interest from Turkish GPGPU researchers, who numbered more than 60 individuals from various institutions and universities.

Here are some photos of the NVIDIA CUDA seminar in Turkey. Kudos to Elif!
