Fall gaming is off to a huge start. Genre-busting space western Borderlands 2 ships next week, promising an even bigger, better experience which includes explosive NVIDIA PhysX effects. The following week, this year’s biggest MMO, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, is set to arrive.

As you prepare your gaming rig for these blockbuster titles, don’t forget to take advantage of the new GeForce R304 drivers.

Really ought to take a look at a lot of the problems people using GeForce GTX 500 & 600 series are having with World of Warcraft 5.0.4 (the pre-patch that comes just before release of Mists of Pandaria.)

But there are numerous threads on their technical forums which suggest that DX11 (or their implementation of it) is causing problems for other cards as well.  Essentially, Mists of Pandaria might not be playable for a lot of people who want to use DX11.

I just ordered a GeForce GTX 570 yesterday from Amazon, should be getting it in a couple days, was looking forward to using DX11 for Mists of Pandaria (currently using GTX 260, which doesn’t support DX11 and doesn’t have the power of GTX 570), but after reading through the many threads on Blizzard’s support forums, I’m wondering if the two don’t go together.I mention all of this because you are specifically signalling the arrival of Mists of Pandaria as a selling point.

These latest drivers are supposed to be the first Windows 8 WHQL drivers right? Well, they give me constant blue screens of death on my laptop with a 9400m and my PC with a GTX 260. Obviously, I’m installing the appropriate notebook and desktop packages.

You know, it only helps to promote the ‘drivers’ tag for notifications if you actually tag these notification posts with the ‘drivers’ tag!

Now that Borderlands 2 is out, I can confirm that NVIDIA’s latest driver release results in a great experience in the game.

I hope NVIDIA is able to continue fostering partnerships with companies like Gearbox/2K Games, so owners of GeForce cards can get awesome exclusive features such as PhysX, SLI, 3D Vision, and 3D Surround!

I have a GTX 660 ti but could not manage to get borderlands 2 in 3d. Do I need to purchase this “Nvidia 3D play” to get it working?

Thanks Sagar. We are enjoying the game as well!

Hi Bruno, 3D Vision support will be coming in a future game patch. Sorry for the delay.

Hi Entegy, these are the second set of WHQL drivers. We are not experiencing these issues in our internal testing. With our forums under construction, the best place for technical support is here: You can also comment on here:
