Three Big Things We Introduced at CES

by Bob Sherbin

With last week’s headlong rush through CES now behind us, we thought it worth recapping NVIDIA’s news. There was a lot of it.

Our engineers spent almost 10,000 person-years building Project SHIELD — an Android gaming device that also streams titles from a gaming PC; Tegra 4, the world’s fastest mobile processor, which powers it; and the NVIDIA GRID Cloud Gaming Platform, which does for games what Netflix did for videos.

These products captured a raft of Best of Show awards, tons of media coverage and helped trigger a flood of visitors to our booth.

I’d like to hear more about the Nvidia Grid intergration in Project Shield. To not be able to stream games using the LTE connectivity would be such a waste. If the Shield does allow gaming via Nvidia Grid this will bee dream device.

Ohh I would love to have this project Shield as soon as possible. I really love to play on my gaming rig and have some awesome moments. But I cannot really afford a top of the line gaming laptop, so this portable handheld console with so amazing power, will be the perfect travelling companion. NVidia ftw!

Way to take over CES, NVIDIA!

GeForce Grid has the potential to shake up the console industry; Tegra 4 will lead for class leading portable devices in the tradition of previous Tegra chips; and Project SHIELD will be the vehicle to revolutionize the portability/accessibility of PC gaming!!!
