How NVIDIA Will Be Going Big at Gamescom, the World’s Biggest Gaming Show

by Susanna Tatár

The world’s biggest gaming show is bigger than ever. Gamescom’s organizers estimate the show will draw more than 375,000 this year. That’s well over the 350,000 who trekked to Cologne, Germany for last year’s show.

And our booth is right in the middle of the madness. Our new SHIELD Tablet — which goes on sale August 15 in Europe — is the star of the show.

Visitors to our booth can pick up a SHIELD and try it out for themselves. They’ll be able to sample Android games such as “Trine 2,” “Portal,” “Z Steel Soldiers,” “Chuck’s Challenge 3D” and “FlyHunter.”

We’ll also show off how SHIELD can stream games from NVIDIA GeForce GTX-equipped PCs with a demo of “The Crew,” Ubisoft’s upcoming multi-player racing game.

We’re right in the middle of the action at the world’s largest gaming gathering in Cologne this week.

Other highlights include the opportunity to play 2K’s new sci-fi themed, co-op first-person shooter,  “Evolve.” PCs powered by dual GeForce GTX 780 Tis and paired with 4K G-SYNC monitors ensure an eye-popping gaming experience.

There’ll be more to gawk at on our stage. Gamers will get to check out presentations from 2K, Alienware, CD Project RED, Deep Silver, Gaijin, Koch Media, Ubisoft, Wargaming, and others.

We’re also hosting a live streamed multi-day event we call “Beat the Pro,” that gives Gamescom attendees the chance to take on pro gamers.

And at 15:00 CET on Saturday, 16th August, our Gamescom stage will host the finals of the “Hearthstone” Tournament. More than 500 of Europe’s best Hearthstone gamers have been whittled down to just two. Now it’s time for them to battle it out for the title of Top European Player.
