GeForce Grabs eSports Grand Slam

by James Grunke

With our spot at this weekend’s Boston Major, we’re capping a year where GeForce GTX earned a place at each of this year’s four biggest professional gaming events.

The Boston Major DotA 2 championship features 16 of the world’s top ranked pro teams, a $3 million prize pool and action powered by our GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs and advanced G-SYNC monitors.

It’s just the latest result of our effort to support professional gamers at all levels.

Virtus.pro — one of 16 top-ranked teams competing at the Boston Major — is the latest team to undergo intense training in one of our GeForce eSports Studio boot camps located at our headquarters in Santa Clara.

It’s a great way to prepare for major PC gaming tournaments — all of which are powered by our gear.

An eSports Grand Slam

In 2016, GeForce GTX powered The International DotA 2 championship, Blizzcon World Championship Series, League of Legends World Championship, ESL One Cologne Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major and many others.

In the eSports world, performance and reliability are two requirements that can’t be compromised — we’re honored that these top eSports pro players and tournament operators rely on GeForce GTX for their game.

So whatever your game — and whatever your skill level — you can count on our gear to help you play your best.
