Hot Ticket: Sold-Out NeurIPS to Feature NVIDIA AI Research, Speakers and Demos

by Cheryl Martin

It took three hours for tickets to this year’s Coachella music festival to sell out. Burning Man 2018 sold out in half an hour. But the 32nd Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems topped them both, with registration filling up in under 12 minutes.

As the premier event focused on neural networks, NeurIPS has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years — a sign of surging interest in AI research.

We’ll be there in Montreal, Dec. 2-8, as more than 8,000 AI experts congregate at the Palais des congrès for the conference.

Home to major AI labs and key deep learning pioneers, Montreal is a fitting location for this highly anticipated celebration of deep learning.

Early Bird Catches the NeurIPS Expo

The event kicks off on Sunday with the NeurIPS Expo. Registration is free and open to the public — including folks who aren’t registered for the main conference. We’ll be in room 511C hosting the NVIDIA AI Tech Workshop, a half-day series of sessions focusing on how GPU-accelerated computing is transforming the AI landscape in research labs at higher education institutions and across industries.

The NeurIPS Expo begins at 8am and will feature presentations from NVIDIA researchers and engineers, demos of our technology, and discussions about hardware, software and frameworks. This first-of-a-kind NeurIPS workshop will help AI practitioners at all levels understand opportunities to optimize code and algorithms to accelerate discovery.

A Closer Look at Our Latest in AI

All week at NeurIPS, find us at booth 209, where we’re showcasing our latest AI research, including a lunar landing demo. An NVIDIA DGX-2, the world’s most powerful AI system, will be on display.

We’d love to meet you — so we’ll be holding office hours with leading NVIDIA researchers, Monday through Thursday.

Talks, Events and Research Galore

NeurIPS is packed with sessions and talks. You’ll find NVIDIA speakers and moderators at the following sessions:

Twenty of our NVIDIA AI Labs (NVAIL) partners are among those presenting groundbreaking work. We’re also presenting research posters of our own and sponsoring the Women in Machine Learning Workshop (Monday) and the Black in AI Workshop (Friday).
