Starting this month, NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Institute is offering instructor-led workshops that are delivered remotely via a virtual classroom.

DLI provides hands-on training in AI, accelerated computing and accelerated data science to help developers, data scientists and other professionals solve their most challenging problems.

These in-depth classes are taught by experts in their respective fields, delivering industry-leading technical knowledge to drive breakthrough results for individuals and organizations.

DLI has already trained more than 200,000 developers globally and is growing quickly to bridge the digital skills gap worldwide. It’s a member of the European Commission’s Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, helping to provide valuable technological resources to professionals and students in Europe.

Over the past several weeks, DLI has delivered hands-on training to nearly 800 attendees during NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference. This digital conference also offers, at no cost, hundreds of technical presentations, research posters and “Ask the Experts” sessions across fields such as robotics, healthcare, autonomous vehicles, finance and education.

In addition to these virtual workshops, developers, data scientists and other professionals worldwide continue to have access to self-paced online courses via the DLI website.

World-Class Deep Learning Lineup

Organizations of all sizes are now operating in a digital-first world, and entire industries are being transformed through the use of more intelligent and efficient technologies.

This rapidly changing environment requires mastery of a new set of skills. DLI training helps people quickly gain the necessary practical experience with the technologies driving these transformations, powered by high-performance GPU accelerators. Upon completion, participants can earn a certificate of competency to support their long-term professional growth.

“NVIDIA DLI courses are key to unlocking the power for GPUs and enabling AI workloads,” said Robert Daigle, AI business and innovation leader at Lenovo Data Center Group. “The rich library of courses has helped our teams gain a deeper understanding into accelerated computing and has empowered our customers to achieve faster times to insight and discovery.”

The DLI course catalog covers a wide range of fundamental technologies and industry applications that AI is accelerating, and is constantly evolving to support the training needs of leading organizations.

This month, updated versions of the following courses are available:

  • Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Multi-GPUs
  • Deep Learning for Autonomous Vehicles — Perception
  • Medical Image Classification Using the MedNIST Dataset
  • Optimization and Deployment of TensorFlow Models with TensorRT
  • Deep Learning at Scale with Horovod
  • Modeling Time Series Data with Recurrent Neural Networks in Keras

Growing Educational Ecosystem

DLI training is delivered by more than 550 certified instructors and is also available through a global network of educational services partners. Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Numerical Algorithms Group and QA have recently signed on, joining dozens of well-known organizations such as Booz Allen Hamilton, Dell and Hitachi Information Academy.

“As the first federally focused consulting firm to facilitate the NVIDIA DLI curriculum, we have found the training to be a valuable resource to empower our employees and clients to understand and leverage the latest in deep learning technology.” Drew Farris, director of Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Research at Booz Allen Hamilton. “Our certified instructors, several of whom also hold security clearances, have trained more than 2,000 people, helping to translate deeply technical expertise for our clients in ways that can directly support their mission success.”

Universities can also benefit from DLI training resources. More than 3,000 educators worldwide have leveraged specialized NVIDIA Teaching Kits for complete coursework for a variety of disciplines that benefit from GPU-accelerated computing. Also included in these kits are free online DLI courses — with certification assessments — for educators to assign their students.
