Riccardo Mariani is head of industry safety at NVIDIA, where he drives the NVIDIA Halos initiative and NVIDIA Technical Compliance and Certification (TCC) team. He develops cohesive safety strategies, architecture and products for NVIDIA's AI-based hardware and software platforms. Mariani holds leadership roles in international standardization, including convenor of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42/JWG 4 on AI and functional safety and co-convenor of IEC 61508. He is the recipient of the 2021 Ron Waxman DASC Meritorious Service Award, as well as the IEEE TCHS Outstanding Leadership Award and IEC 1906 award.
