Tim Sweeney founded Epic Games in 1991 and wrote two of the company’s early shareware games, “ZZT” and “Jill of the Jungle.” From 1995 to 1998, he created the first Unreal Engine while collaborating with Cliff Bleszinski, James Schmalz and Steve Polge, the key developers behind Epic’s first million-selling retail game, “Unreal.” Today, Sweeney oversees the development of Epic's Unreal Engine 3 technology -- used by hundreds PC, console and mobile games – as well as Unreal Engine 4, which is poised to power the next generation of video games.
