George Vacek is responsible for strategic development in the sequencing market, managing NVIDIA’s collaborations with instrument manufacturers and thought leaders throughout the genomics industry. Throughout his 20-year career, he has held senior business and technical roles in the computational life sciences at Schrodinger, OpenEye Scientific Software, Hewlett Packard and DDN Storage, helping genomic sequencing centers, pharma and biomedical research organizations, hospitals, and instrument and software manufacturers maximize research productivity for emerging scientific methods. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and contributed to several widely used software solutions. He earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Georgia, an M.B.A. from Portland State University, and bachelor's degrees in physics and mathematics from the University of Wisconsin.
